Buhari Condoles With Inuwa Yahaya Over Sister's Death

President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with the Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya over his sister's death.

The deceased, Hajiya Aishatu Yahaya Umaru died last week after a protracted illness.

Buhari said the deceased has contributed immensely to the growth of her community, adding that she would be remembered by people.

This was disclosed in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the president on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu on Thursday.

The statement reads, “I am anguished by her passing away.

"My thoughts are with her family, her brother the Governor and the entire people of Gombe State.

"May Allah accept her soul and reward her good deeds."

Meanwhile, the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Pantami alongside the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan have also paid their respects to the governor over the loss. 

In a statement signed by the Director-General Press Affairs to the governor of Gombe state, Ismaila Uba Misilli stated, "The two leaders, who described the death of Hajiya Aishatu as deeply painful, sympathised with the Gombe Governor and his family members over the sad event.  

"Prof. Pantami led a special prayer for Allah’s mercy upon the soul of the late Aishatu and for Him to comfort her husband, children and other family members."
