President Muhammadu Buhari has again summoned another security meeting of the National Security Council, as they continue to seek solutions to the security challenges confronting the country.
The President presided over the Security meeting for the third time in the series at the State House.
The meeting, which was first summoned by the President on Friday, April 30, 2021, continued today at the First Lady’s Conference room.

Those in attendance included the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, and the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari.
Others who were present at the meeting were the Minister of Defence, Major-General Bashir Magashi (Rtd), and the National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno (Rtd.)

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, Chief of Army Staff; Lieutenant-General Ibrahim Attahiru, Chief of Naval Staff; Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu, Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amoo and acting Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba is also attending the crucial meeting.
There are indications that the security meeting which anchors on stemming the nation’s insecurity crisis and has remained inconclusive would be wrapped up today.
