Buhari Launches New National Cybersecurity Policy and Strategy (PHOTOS)

President Muhammadu Buhari launched the National Cybersecurity Policy and Strategy (NCPS) in Abuja on Tuesday.

This was disclosed by the President’s Special Assistant on Broadcast Media, Buhari Sallau, on his verified twitter handle.

Buhari’s aide wrote “President @MBuhari presides over Presidential Launch of the National Cybersecurity Policy and Strategy (NCPS) in the State House on 23rd Feb 2021, PHOTOS: @BayoOmoboriowo.”

In October 2020, President Buhari had inaugurated a multi-stakeholder committee to review the 2014 National Cybersecurity Policy and Strategy.

Present at the inauguration were President Muhammadu Buhari; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari; Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Boss Mustapha; National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno; Minister of Communication Dr. Isa Pantami.

Also present at the meeting was the Minister of Defence, Bashir Magashi, who presided over the Presidential Launch of the NCPS.
