President Muhammadu Buhari has reappointed Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye as the Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
This was disclosed by the agency on its official Twitter handle on Friday.
According to the tweet, “Prof. Mojisola Christianah Adeyeye has been reappointed as the @DGatNAFDAC for the second and final tenure of five years.
"She stopped by briefly at the corporate headquarters in Abuja to meet with some Directors.”
The Punch also reports that a senior staff of the agency who pleaded anonymity confirmed the report.
Adeyeye was reappointed as the head of the agency with effect from December 1, 2022.
She was first appointed in 2017 and ended the tenure on November 2, 2022.
Following the expiration of her first tenure, the Director of Drug Registration and Regulatory Affairs Directorate of the agency, Dr Monica Eimunjeze, took over as the Acting DG.
