Buhari, Tinubu To Visit Nasarawa State On Saturday

President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC presidential flagbearer, Bola Tinubu will be taking the campaign train to Nasarawa State on Saturday in Lafia as Governor Abdullahi Sule has disclosed that the state is fully ready to play host.

Sule made this known on Friday, in Lafia in a chat with a press crew shortly after inspecting projects scheduled for commissioning by President Buhari.

He said, “I think we are 90 per cent ready. The President is coming for an official visit where is he going to commission some projects, including the Federal Secretariat which will be named after some of our prominent sons here in the state.

“Then there is going to be the Agricultural Machinery Development Institute (AMEDI), built by NASENI, which Mr President holds very dear to him because he is the Chairman of NASENI. That is also going to be ready. From what we have seen, this morning it is almost completed, almost ready.

“Then after that, we as a state wanted to at least, include one of our projects and that is why we are including this road we built from ecological funds.

"Those kinds of things mean a lot to the residents. That we have been able to save some money, indeed we built the road purely to take care of erosion in Lafia,” Governor Sule said.

On the planned presidential campaign rally for Tinubu, the Governor said, Nasarawa State being an APC state, is leaving no stone unturned in order to support the party's presidential candidate.

“You know Nasarawa is an APC state and there are a lot of people that on their own when they hear that our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu and his vice, Senator Kashim Shettima, once they are in town, people will come out to receive them.

“But on our own part, we are not taking things for granted. We are mobilising a lot of people from other local government areas, who are willing to come and welcome them and they are going to be part of it.

“The committee that is being chaired by the Deputy Governor, is working round the clock to ensure that everything is set. From all indications we are ready to go,” the Governor added.
