President Muhammadu Buhari will host leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to iftar this evening (today) at the statehouse, in Abuja.
This was contained in a letter addressed to the National Chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and signed by the president's chief of staff, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari.
As stated in the letter, the iftar (breaking of fasting) would commence at 6:30 pm.
Some of the invitees include the former governor of Adamawa State, Admiral Murtala Nyako; APC Presidential aspirant, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the former National chairmen of the APC, Dr. John Odigie-Oyegun and Adams Oshiomhole.
Others include former Ogun State Governor, Olusegun Osoba; first interim chairman of the APC, Bisi Akande, former governor of Borno State, Ali Modu-Sheriff, former governor of Zamfara State, Ahmed Yarima and a host of others.
The letter reads partly, “I write to inform you that President Muhammadu Buhari has directed that invitation be extended to the attached list of the leadership of the All Progressives Congress to join Mr. President to break Ramadan Fast on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 1830 hours in the Presidential Banquet Hall, State House, Abuja."
The invitees are expected to arrive early for a rapid COVID-19 test at the statehouse Conference Centre.
