Union Berlin's hopes of claiming the Bundesliga title took a hit over the weekend, as they were held to a goalless draw against Bayer Leverkusen.
Union, who are still unbeaten at home in the league this season, had their best chance midway through the second half, but Sheraldo Becker missed the target after a Jerome Roussillon cross.
The draw leaves Union in third place, and four matchdays remain in the season. Meanwhile, Freiburg solidified their chances of qualifying for the Champions League, beating Cologne 1-0 with a second-half tap-in from Ritsu Doan.
In other games, RB Leipzig won 1-0 over Hoffenheim, while Stuttgart defeated Borussia Moenchengladbach 2-1.
