Buni Approves Peace Template For Kano APC

APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved a peace template to accommodate aggrieved members in Kano.

The national chairman of the APC caretaker committee and Governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni made the approval to respond to the party crisis in Kano ahead of the party's national convention.

The template was made available to both aggrieved factions headed by the governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and the former governor of the state, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau.

The party also approved the appointment of some key party members to form the reconciliation committee.

The appointees include the former speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara; governor of Zamfara state, Bello Matawalle and Senator Abba Ali.

The template stated that every aggrieved member will be given a sense of belonging across the 44 local government areas of the state.

However, in a letter made available to AllNews Nigeria as dated February 7, 2022 and addressed to the national chairman of the caretaker committee, Mai Mala Buni, the Joint Stakeholders Forum of the APC in Kano rejected the proposal for the harmonisation of the party.

Part of the letter read that, "In the circumstances, therefore, we are constrained to notify you that the entirety of the content of your letter is acceptable."

Find below, the letters as acquired by AllNews Nigeria:

1. The Buni-led Caretaker Committee's letter to Governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
