Buni Felicitates With Muslims On Commencement Of Ramadan

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has felicitated with Muslims on the commencement of the 2023 Ramadan fasting.

Buni congratulated the Muslims for the opportunity to witness the holy month of Allah's bounties.

"I congratulate us all for this rare opportunity which by the grace of Allah SWT our lives are spared and granted good health to reap the rich benefits in this holy month.

"We should therefore, have a sober reflection, seek Allah's forgiveness, internalise the teachings of the Holy Ramadan, build new relationships and pray for the security and prosperity of our state and country," Buni said.

This was contained in a statement by his spokesperson, Mamman Mohammed, on Thursday.

According to Mohammed, Buni assured that his administration would continue to promote peace across the state.

He added that his administration would also focus on improving people's lives through the provision of people-oriented projects and policies.

He also appealed to people to continue to support his programmes to enhance speedy implementation.

Buni further urged the Muslims to use the month to engage in acts of prayers and worship instead of engaging in discussing trivial issues or arguments.

"We will concentrate on people-oriented projects and policies that would improve the lives of our people," Buni said.
