Buni Hosts Revenue Mobilization On Assessment In Yobe

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has hosted a delegation from the Federal Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission in Damaturu, the state's capital.

The delegation was led by the federal Commissioner representing Adamawa State, Hajiya Salamatu Mohammad Bala. 

Bala noted that they were in Yobe on an assessment visit to some communities affected by the flood and other natural disasters mostly in Gujba and Gulani Local Government Areas.

She further sympathetized with the government and people of the state especially the victims. 

Bala also assured that her committee will forward its report to the president for approval.

She further commended the effort of the state government for the emergency response initiated in all the affected areas.

Governor Buni was represented by his Deputy, Hon. Idi Barde Gubana.

This was disclosed by the spokesperson to the deputy governor, Hussaini Mai Suleh. 

While receiving the delegation, Gubana appreciated the commission for the assessment visit on the devastation caused by flood recently in the state. 

He noted that the flood had affected many communities in the state especially Gujba and Gulani LGAs. 

He added that the devastation caused by the flood necessitated for the call for the intervention from the stabilization fund from commission.

The Yobe state government delegation led by the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Dr Abubakar Garba made a presentation before the Commission requesting for the stabilization fund.
