Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has hosted the stakeholders of the Nangere Local Government Area of the state in Damaturu.
The governor said there is more power in unity than in division.
Buni made this known during the meeting with stakeholders on Monday at the government house in Damaturu, the state's capital.
Buni was represented by his Deputy, Idi Barde Gubana.
According to him, the meeting was aimed at mapping out ways and strategies for the peaceful conduct of the forthcoming 2023 election.
As contained in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Hussaini Mai Suleh, he added that "There is no meaningful development that could be achieved without unity, support and understanding".
He further appreciated the efforts and encouragement of the members of the stakeholders towards uniting the party for victory.
He prayed to God "to guide, protect and also grant our leaders patience and wisdom to govern".
The statement added that the governor equally prayed for the peaceful conduct of the 2023 elections in the state and Nigeria as a whole.
