Buni Inspects New Health Facility In Yobe, Gets Traditional Title In Delta

The Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni has inspected the newly established Primary Healthcare Facility in Gabai village of Damaturu local government area of the state.

The governor who was represented by the state's Commissioner of Health, Dr. Mohammed Lawan Gana took a tour of the facility providing medical services to the community on Friday. 

The facility was equipped with qualified nurses, midwives, a pharmacy, labour rooms, male and female wards, and laboratory managed by laboratory technicians among others.

The facility provides services 24/7 as residents of the community do not have to travel far in search of medical treatment.

The community expressed gratitude to governor Buni for responding to their problems by providing the health facility. 

The facility also has a borehole that serves both the healthcare facility and the village with potable water supply. 

The governor further revealed that similar facilities were inaugurated in Tulo-Tulo, Dole-Machina, Mayori, and Gumsa communities bordering the Republic of Niger. 

Similarly, Governor Buni was in Delta State today where he was honoured with a Chieftaincy title of Taremobowei of Gbaramatu kingdom. 

This was contained in a statement by the spokesperson to the governor, Mamman Mohammed.

According to the statement, governor Buni was described as a national bridge builder and asset to national unity and cohesion.

"The Gbaramatu kingdom said it was impressed by his achievements as a state Governor, a democrat per excellence, and an apostle of developmental politics.

"The title was to spur Governor Buni to do more in promoting national unity for a one united Nigeria," the statement added.
