Burna Boy Throws Jab At Lai Mohammed, Says Innocent Blood Can't Be Erased With Lie

Burna Boy Throws Jab At Lai Mohammed, Says Innocent Blood Ca

Nigerian music heavyweight Burna Boy has thrown a jab at the minister of Information Lai Mohammed after the Lagos Judicial Panel reported that there was indeed a massacre at the Lekki Tollgate.

Recall that Mohammed took a firm stand against the backlash following the October 20, 2020, Lekki toll gate incident as he declared that there were no casualties at the gate when the army was called in to check on the peaceful protesters.

However, the newly released report by the Lagos Panel says otherwise.

Reacting, Burna Boy said he woke up to see that the government's attempt to keep the Lekki shooting a secret was not successful.

Throwing a jab at the Minister of Information, Burna Boy stated that he (Lai) could not clean innocent blood with a lie.

"I just sleep wake up see say Government nyash open far and wide today. You cannot clean innocent blood with Lie Mohammed"

During the EndSARS protest in October 2020, Burna Boy was called out on Twitter for staying silent during the course of the ongoing protest despite calling the youths cowards.

Responding on his verified Twitter handle, he said that he had taken the past weeks to gather his thoughts and had deliberately chosen not to respond with emotions and frustration like he would have done.

The ‘Odogwu’ crooner also revealed that he has created a sub-fund called @projectprotectng under his charity, The Reach, to cater for protesters who got injured, harmed or arrested by SARS officials during and after the protest.

He, however, commended the protesters for exercising their right to assemble and fight for justice and their freedom.
