Burnley relegated from Premier League after deafeat to Totte

Burnley became the second team to be relegated from the Premier League on Saturday following their 2-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

A win against the north London side could have secured Vincent Kompany's team another season at the topflight.

The Clarets took the lead through Jacob Bruun Larsen in the 25th minute but the lead did not last long as Pedro Porro grabbed an equaliser for the Lillywhites.

Micky van de Ven scored the second goal of the evening for Spurs after a laboured second-half performance as he slotted to the bottom corner from a counter-attacking move.

The draw kept the pressure on Aston Villa in the race for the Champions League fourth spot with two matches left for both teams.

Burnley are five points behind Forest with one game remaining, meaning they join Sheffield United in making an instant return to the Championship.
