FoodCo Unveils New Retail Outlet

Farmers Get N75.9 Billion Loan From CBN In Two Months

A total amount of N75.9 billion was been disbursed as a loan to farmers by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) between November and December 2021 under its Anchor Borrowers’ Programme (ABP).

The fund aims at supporting the cultivation of over 383,000 hectares of maize, rice and wheat during the year's dry season, bringing the cumulative disbursements under the Programme to N927.94 billion to over 4.5 million smallholder farmers cultivating 21 commodities across the country. CAC To Offer Free Automatic Training For Newly Registered SMEs

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has revealed that it is planning to offer two free automatic digital training for newly registered Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Alhaji Garba Abubakar, the Registrar–General, CAC made this known when he received Amu Ogbeide, the Group CEO of Sapphital, who paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja. Read more here

CBN Increases Interest Rate On Savings Deposit To 4.2%

Banks have been directed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to pay savings deposit accounts an interest rate of at least 4.2%, an increase from the 1.4% previously received.

This was contained in a circular titled “Review Of Interest Rate On Savings Deposits” and signed by Haruna B. Mustafa, Director Of Banking Supervision. Read more here.

Hollandia Partners Pharmacists, Urges Nigerians To Adopt Lactose-Free Milk

A dairy brand, Hollandia has partnered with the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN) and the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) to sensitise Nigerians in adopting more lactose-free milk and other dairy products.

Dr Bisi Abiola, speaking at the 41st ACPN Annual National Scientific Conference and AGM of NMA in Lagos, she said patients who experience symptoms such as bloating, diarrhoea, nausea, cramps, stooling, and flatulence after consuming dairy products, should go for the lactose-free ones.
