Over 3,000 Edo Residents Benefit From FG's Cash Transfer Programme

Flora Bossey, the Head of Unit, Household Uplifting Programme (HUP), Edo State Cash Transfer Unit, has revealed that about 3,124 residents from Oredo local government of the state have benefitted from the federal government’s Conditional Cash Transfer programme.

She disclosed this in Benin at the weekend while addressing journalists after distributing debit cards to beneficiaries of the programme. Read more here

CBN Says Currency In Circulation Now N1.6 Trillion

Following the Central Bank of Nigeria’s reversal of the naira redesign policy, the currency in circulation in the country jumped by N701.4 trillion in one month to hit N1.6 trillion in March 2023.

The CBN defines currency in circulation as currency outside the vaults of the central bank; that is, all legal tender currencies in the hands of the public and in the vaults of the Deposit Money Banks. Read more here.
