Reports from Spain suggest that Busquets is expected to be out for 2-3 weeks after coming off early in Barcelona's 3-0 win over Sevilla.
The 34-year-old Barcelona captain remains a key player for Xavi Hernandez and has made 27 appearances this season.
Unfortunately, Busquets will miss Sunday's match against Villarreal in La Liga and is unlikely to be available for the first leg against Manchester United on February 16th.
The second leg, which will be held at Old Trafford on February 23rd, is a more realistic target for the veteran midfielder.
Additionally, Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele is expected to miss the first leg of the Manchester United tie due to a thigh injury sustained in January.
