Confederation of African Football (CAF) has issued a congratulatory message to Rivers United following their qualification to the quarter-finals of the 2022-23 CAF Confederation Cup.
The Pride of Rivers advanced to the last eight having played a 2-2 draw against Diables Noirs of Congo Brazzaville at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Sunday.
With the spoils shared, they moved to 10 points to stay top of Group B on goal difference with a game to spare.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Rivers United had to come from 1-0 down to lead 2-1, before parity was restored nine minutes to time.
Congratulating Nigeria's top flight champions, CAF took to Twitter and wrote: "Rivers United Confederation Cup quarter-finals!

They will next face DR Congo side Motema Pembe who are last on the log in their final group game on April 1.
