    Caleb University To Organise Career Expo For Secondary Schoo

    The management of Caleb University, Imota, Lagos is set to train secondary school students on capacity development through its National Intellectual Development Programme 2022.

    The NIPD, with the theme 'Stand Out' has been fixed for April 28, at the Multipurpose Hall of Caleb Univerity Multipurpose Hall.

    The programme which would include a debate competition and a career talk would involve 2,000 students from Senior Secondary two and three classes of 100 secondary schools taken from all six geopolitical zones in Nigeria.

    In a statement by Caleb University Media and Publication expert, Olawale Adekoya said the programme was being organised in conjunction with Zenith Bank Plc Eco Bank Plc, UBA Plc, Stanbic IBTC Bank, De Millers Farms, Fan Milk of Nigeria Plc, Golden Penny Foods, Rite Foods, Checkers Africa Ltd, and Imota Local Government.

    “The 2,000 direct participants, along with the millions in the global virtual audience, who join virtually will have the golden opportunity to explore career pathways, discover new opportunities and connect directly with student leaders, scholars, statesmen and Captains of Industry.

    “Caleb University packaged the Debate and Career Expo 2022 along with its corporate sponsors, with the fundamental objective of producing dynamic students who are proficient in the five “Cs” of 21st-century innovative skills of debating, which include critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, and consciousness, driven by the Core Values of Caleb University.

    “The winners of the inaugural edition of the competition will smile home with the star prize of N1m cash, while the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th placed schools will receive 250K, 200K and 150K, respectively," the statement read.
