Cameroon, 10-man Guinea share spoils in AFCON opener

Cameroon, 10-man Guinea share spoils in AFCON opener

Cameroon drew 1-1 with 10-man Guinea in the AFCON encounter between both sides in Ivory Coast.

The Indomitable Lions were the favourites coming into this game but the result didn't suggest that as Guinea made the most of their time on the pitch to pick up a point in this fiesta.

The goal would come in the game but this time it was Guinea that took the lead thanks to a breakthrough goal from Mohamed Bayo in the 10th minute of the clash.

However, the Guineans went from hero to zero as they were reduced to 10 men when Francois Kamano picked up a red card in the 45+3 minute of the contest.

Cameroon took the one-man advantage and levelled up in aplomb through a goal in the 51st-minute courtesy of a brilliant effort from Frank Magri. He was assisted by Georges-Kevin N'Nkoudou.

Despite several attempts and pressure both sides mounted to get the three points it was to no avail as it finished 1-1 between both sides (Cameroon and Guinea) in the AFCON opener on Monday night.
