Canva Introduces AI-Powered Tools Among New Features

Canva Introduces AI-Powered Tools Among New Features

Canva is launching a number of new features, including a new Brand Hub and a set of AI-powered tools.

The company showcased the new features and capabilities during Thursday's virtual Canva Create event.

The business is releasing Assistant, which enables customers to look up design components and provide rapid access to functions.

The programme can also suggest visual elements and design elements that go well with your current design.

The platform's AI-powered copywriting assistant, Magic Write, which debuted in December, is one example of an AI-powered design tool that is easily accessible through Assistant.

Magic Write is now available in all Canva project types, including presentations, flyers, social media graphics, and more.

It was only available in Canva Documents before this upgrade.

Magic Write can be used to write things like website copy or summaries for presentations.

For instance, you could ask Magic Write to provide suggestions for social media launches of new products.

When recommending copy, the tool considers the type of project you're working on.

Canva also revealed that Magic Write is now available in 18 other languages in addition to the extended availability.

A new method of creating presentations automatically has also been introduced by Canva.

You can instruct the editor to produce a variety of slideshows that include an outline and material for each one.

In terms of design, the business's brand-new "Magic Design" tool enables users to submit an image, choose a style, and then receive a curated list of customizable templates.

On the other side, you can add or alter anything in an image using the new "Magic Edit" tool.

Once you've decided where to add anything, you may explain it to Magic Edit.

By stroking over the region, the new "Magic Eraser" tool enables you to remove extraneous elements from photographs.

Along with a new "Translate" option that automatically translates text in designs into over 100 different languages, Canva is also introducing "Beat Sync," a new feature that instantly syncs video footage to the music of your choice.

Canva is debuting a number of new features in addition to the new AI-powered tools that it claims customers have requested.

The business is first releasing "Draw," which enables you to create a basic shape, like a circle, and then see it turn into a polished circle.

Users of the new "Layouts" feature can upload material to a website and receive suggestions for layout options for a design, while users of the "Styles" tool can explore suggested colour schemes and typefaces.

Text, shapes, photos, and video may all be seen in one area with the new "Layers" feature.

With the addition of Alt Text support in Canva, you can now add more context to your photos and objects to describe them for users with accessibility requirements or visual impairments.

The addition of 953 additional fonts, including Arial, Courier, Helvetica, and Times New Roman, is another great improvement.

The business is also introducing Brand Center, a set of fresh features and capabilities aimed at assisting teams in maintaining brand consistency. With the use of the hub's new "Magic Replace" feature, users can easily alter brand assets, like logos, throughout their designs on the platform.

The centre also offers tools for making brand templates, folders, and guidelines.

In order to guarantee that designs are examined and approved before they are released, admins can now approve workflows directly in Canva.

“Ten years ago, we launched Canva driven by a vision to empower everyone to design anything, no matter their skills or experience,” said Canva co-founder and CEO Melanie Perkins in a statement.

“Today, we’re thrilled to advance that vision by introducing a whole new range of features, focused on empowering brands to scale their creative outputs.

“As technology continues to advance, we are reimagining the design process by making it even easier to take what is in your head, get it onto a page, and out into the world, faster than ever before.”

More than 120 million people use Canva every month, a growth of more than 35 million since the launch of Canva's Visual Worksuite in September 2022. Canva was founded in 2013.

The business stated that its platform has been used to create more than 15 billion designs.
