CDS sympathizes with Kenya over death of defence chief

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen. Christopher Musa, expressed condolences to Kenya following the tragic passing of their Chief of the Defence Forces, Gen. Francis Ogolla.

Gen. Musa conveyed his sympathies for the loss of Gen. Ogolla and nine other senior military officials in a helicopter crash in Maramwet County.

In a statement released by Defence Headquarters spokesperson Brig.-Gen. Tukur Gusau on Saturday, Gen. Musa lamented the unfortunate loss, praising Gen. Ogolla as a decorated and dedicated officer who served his nation with utmost professionalism.

He added that the deceased was committed to protecting the East African sub-region and Africa.

The CDS urged Kenyans to be consoled by the good name, accomplishments and great memories of Ogolla’s impactful and meritorious service to the nation while alive.

Musa prayed to God to grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest and fortitude to their families and the Kenyan Defence Forces to bear the irreparable loss.
