It is no longer news that Nigeria keeps recording cases of coronavirus as each day goes by and celebrities have deemed it fit to sensitise their fans and also provide supports in their little ways.
Allnews reports that Nigeria, in the early hours of Wednesday, recorded two more cases, raising the number to 46 in the country.
Celebrities who are sometimes perceived to be the mouthpiece of the masses when certain issues arise have also seen it as responsibilities to protect Nigerians.
In their posts on social media handles, some have taken it upon themselves to provide sanitizers, face masks, and foodstuff as a result of the economic situation occasioned by the outbreak.
Nollywood star actress, Toyin Abraham, did not only sensitise Nigerians on precautionary measures, but she also made donations of foodstuff such as rice, garri, noodles for Ibadan, Abeokuta and Ilorin residents.
Also, actress and entrepreneur, Tonto Dikeh, in an Instagram post announced the availability of 600 bottles of sanitisers for less privilege.
Celebrity stylist Toyin Lawani also pledged to show her support through the provision of face masks.
Hours ago, Nigerian indigenous rapper, CDQ Olowo, said he slashed 30% off his tenants' annual rents.
CDQ who announced this on his Instagram handle, says it is not an attempt to show off, but to pass a message on the need to help people who need assistance.
In the same vein, Nigerian Hip-hop artiste, Runtown, has taken to his Twitter handle to declare financial support for Nigerians.
Runtown pledged to donate a sum of ten million Naira, just as he asked his followers to drop their account details.
HOPE EVERYONE IS STAYING SAFE. TIMES ARE EXTREMELY TOUGH AND I AM CERTAIN THERE ARE PEOPLE WITH NO MONEY TO STOCK UP ON SURVIVAL ESSENTIALS . WILL BE GIVING OUT 10 MILLION NAIRA TO THIS CAUSE. KINDLY DROP YOUR ACCOUNT DETAILS
