The year 2021 saw not just the global pandemic called COVID-19 but people mourned the demise of a number of Nigerian celebrities.

The Nigerian entertainment industry did suffer some serious setbacks as these entertainers breathed their last, leaving significant voids in the entertainment industry.

Here is remembering them as the year comes to an end.

Nollywood Actress Chiemeke Ngozi 

Fast-rising Nollywood actress Chiemeke Ngozi was been shot dead by unknown gunmen at Boji Boji Owa in Ika North East Local Government Council of Delta State.

According to The Guardian, the actress was killed along Deeper Life road in Boji Boji Owa town and sources in the area disclosed that they heard gunshots but before they could get to the scene, the gunmen had fled.

The reason behind the assassination remains unknown as of the time of filing this report but it was gathered that the corpse had been deposited at the mortuary. READ MORE

Veteran Actor Baba Suwe

Veteran actor Babatunde Omidina aka Baba Suwe was among the major celebrities who passed away this year. His passing was confirmed by his son, Adesola I. Morenikeji Omidina on his Instagram page.
