Chairman Commissions Ojoma Bridge In Otukpo

The Executive Chairman of Otukpo Local Government Council, George Alli, on Wednesday,  officially commissioned the new bridge his administration constructed in the Ojoma community of Allan Ward, Otukpo Benue State.

The bridge which replaced an old, dilapidated wooden bridge, according to some members of the community, was built in 1976. The bridge is strategic to the economic development of the community as it links the farming community with other neighbouring communities in Ado Local Government.

 Alli, during the commissioning said the joy he saw on the faces of the people and the enthusiasm with which he and his entourage were received, gave him a sense of satisfaction. 

Alli expressed confidence that the bridge will boost the economic fortunes of the community.

In separate responses, Chieftains of the Community-led by the Leader of Otukpo Legislative Assembly, Honorable Enola Alegwu; Honourable James Akpala who represents Allan ward as Councilor; the Ondaje of Ojoma community, Elder. Stephen Iduh and Patricia Anawo, National Chairlady, Ojoma Akpa, while thanking the Otukpo Council Chairman for remembering their community with a project that is dear to them, said history will be kind to the Chairman. 

The Otukpo Local Government Chairman was accompanied to Ojoma by the Leader of Otukpo Legislative Assembly, Honourable Enola Alegwu and his Deputy; the Councilor representing Adoka-Ehaje, Honourable Daniel Obiabo; Council Secretary, Honourable Oyaje Egwa; Councilor representing Allan Ward, Honourable James Akpala; Supervisor for Education, Honourable Frankreich Ogbole; Supervisory Councilor for Works, Honourable Anthony Ogbo, as well as Security Adviser, Honourable Ajaka Igoche Ikwue were received by members of the community at the bridge.
