Nigerian entertainer Charly Boy has expressed his disapproval of Fela Durotoye’s recent appointment as the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu for National Values and Social Justice.
The appointment, along with those of four others, was officially announced on Monday by the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
In a tweet, Charly Boy criticised the move, stating, “So many influencers and supposed role models are joining the APC gang of yahoo men. Fela Durotoye has joined sides with our tormentors. Congrats, but I am not surprised.”
He went on to share his personal experience with Durotoye, recalling an encounter from five to six years ago when Durotoye sought his support for his presidential ambition.
Charly Boy accused Durotoye of joining the presidential race as a spoiler and criticised his motivational speaking.
“Motivational speaker my ass. He can’t even take his own medicine and never walks his talk.”
Charly Boy expressed his disappointment and referred to Durotoye as a ‘yeye man’.
He further commented on the trend of influencers and respected figures aligning themselves with political parties, suggesting that more such appointments might be announced in the future.
Fine Boy.
