After that contest, the Gunners embark on a tricky early run that sees them face Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham in their following five matches.
Their fixtures over the festive period are somewhat kinder though with a Boxing Day trip to Championship winners Norwich City being followed by Wolves at home. However a visit from Manchester City looks like a difficult way to start 2022.
Mikel Arteta's side will also be relatively happy with what looks to be quite a kind run in.
Following the visit of Liverpool, they face just one 'big six' side before the end of the season, although after their underwhelming displays in the league in 2020/21, Arsenal will be wary of taking anything for granted.
