All four temperaments have their own strengths and weaknesses, good and bad qualities and no temperament is better than the other. They all work hand in hand to make the world a better place.

They hate routines or monotony and will do anything to fill their lives with intrigues and adventures.

MELANCHOLY

Individuals with melancholic temperament are fundamentally introverted, analytical in nature, thoughtful and are referred to as ‘the thinker’. Melancholic attitude could be defined as perfectionist. They often strive for perfection within themselves and their surroundings. They are idealists who wish for things to be a certain way and they get distressed when thay are not. Someone with a melancholic temperament is a deep thinker and feeler and often see the negative attributes of life, rather than the good and positive things.

They can become preoccupied with the cruelty and tragedy in the world and long to make a significant and lasting difference in the world.

Melancholies are the most introverted of the temperaments in the sense that they crave time alone and always enjoy their own company. It is possible for melancholies to enjoy spending time with others, but this drains their energy and they need time alone to recharge.

Melancholies don’t resort to rash and impulsive behavior like sanguine, they will rather think before acting. However, they are very wary of making friends. It can take them a long time toconsider someone they are familiar with a friend.
