Chelsea Confirm Casadei from Inter Milan

Chelsea have completed the signing of Italian midfielder Cesare Casadei from Inter Milan.

The highly-rated young star teams up with the Blues in a deal worth €15m plus €5m future add-ons signing a six-year contract to become the latest teenager to join the club this summer.

Gabriel Slonina, Carney Chukwuemeka joined Chelsea earlier in the summer as they prepare for the future.

The attacking midfielder was named player of the season in the Primavera Youth Division last season.

Chelsea head of youth development Neil Bath, confirmed that the club have been tracking Casadei for some time.

"Cesare is a player we have tracked for some time, and we are delighted he has now agreed to join Chelsea, where he will initially strengthen our U21s squad.

"He is another exciting emerging talent who we are looking forward to seeing develop and progress further as he breaks into senior football in the coming years."

He was part of the Italian U-19 side that reached the semi-finals at the European U-19 Championship in the summer.
