Chelsea secures back-to back win at home against Sheffield U

Chelsea secured back-to-back wins at home when they defeated Sheffield United in the Premier League on Sunday.

The newly promoted side travelled to Stamford Bridge in view to get a decent result at Stamford Bridge following Chelsea's poor run this term.

But it wasn't to be as two second-half goals handed Mauricio Pochettino's men the three points at stake. Despite the early exchanges that took place in the match it finished goalless at the Break.

But the Blues would find the opening goal when Raheem Sterling took the initiative in the right side of the box, beat his mark to set up a low cross for Cole Palmer to open the scoring for the home side. Palmer scored in the 54th minute of the match.

Chelsea doubled their advantage as goal scorer Cole Palmer turned provider to set up striker Nicolas Jackson for the match's second goal.

Jackson tapped in Palmer's cross across the face of goal into the net a minute after the hour mark.

It finished 2-0 in favour of Chelsea much to the delight of Mauricio Pochettino would be under pressure to get the job done as the Chelsea boss.
