Chelsea's predicted line-up against Champions Manchester City

Chelsea's predicted line-up against Champions Manchester Cit

Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea are set to face Manchester City in a crunch Premier League clash on Sunday and it will be interesting to see how Chelsea files out on the pitch.

Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez is expected to be passed fit for Sunday's Premier League match with Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side.

Fernandez felt the full shock of a clumsy tackle from Cristian Romero in the 1-4 defeat of Spurs last week, which he really had to be substituted before the hour mark.

After his absence in training earlier last week, Fernandez was pictured going through paces at Cobham on Thursday, giving Chelsea fans a glimpse of hope as he prepares to return to the midfield.

Striker Armando Broja could also recover from his knee problem to take his place on the bench.

But there are no places for Wesley Fofana (knee), Romeo Lavia (ankle), Christopher Nkunku (knee), Trevoh Chalobah (thigh) and Carney Chukwuemeka (knee) and Ben Chilwell owing to injuries.

Mauricio Pochettino should field an unaltered line-up on Sunday, with veteran defender Thiago Silva and Axel Disasi featuring in a centre-back pairing. With Robert Sanchez expected to be in goal.

Reece James has turned down the chance to feature for England this month as he has made his preference to recover fully from his hamstring issue.

However, there's no doubt about his availability for the clash against Manchester City. On the other hand, Levi Colwill should feature in the left-back position.

The return of Enzo Fernandez would see him feature alongside Moises Caicedo and Conor Callagher in a three-man midfield.

While Cole Palmer and Raheem Sterling would look to impress against their former club (Manchester City) operating from either wing.

Senegalese international Nicolas Jackson will aim to build on his second hat-trick in the defeat of Tottenham Hotspur last week.

Chelsea starting team line-up in a 4-2-3-1 formation system:

Robert Sanchez; Reece James, Axel Disasi, Thiago Silva, Levi Colwill; Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez; Cole Palmer, Conor Gallagher, Raheem Sterling; Nicolas Jackson.
