Chinese President, Xi Jinping, on Monday, announced the country's commitment of two billion dollars to the fight against the novel coronavirus.
The money doled out will not go towards health measures only but will also be appropriated for the aiding of countries affected by the outbreak.
This was disclosed in a message by Xi to the WHO's annual conference.
Other countries have been urged to increase their contributions to the WHO.

Xi Jinping said, “The WHO should lead the global response," as the organisation's efforts in the fight against the disease has been limited by depleting funds.
