Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has urged residents to get vaccinated against cholera.

The Governor made the appeal on Wednesday at the flag-off Ceremony of the vaccination against cholera.

The governor who took a drop of the vaccine himself said the 1.5 million doses of vaccine were donated by the Federal Government.

Explaining further, he said 750,000 people will benefit from the vaccine in two separate doses.

Bala said he had since ordered that victims of the cholera outbreak be treated free.

The Executive Chairman of the Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr. Rilwanu Mohammed while appealing to religious and traditional leaders for support in respect of sensitization, said the exercise is losing acceptance from people.
