Christmas Day Tragedy: Union Leader Stabbed To Death In Ogun

A union leader Damilare Oladipupo aka No Story was on Christmas Day, Saturday, December 25, 2021, stabbed to death at a hotel in the Agbado area of Ogun State.

According to information made available by the spokesperson of the Ogun State Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the victim who is a member of the Ogun State Transport Union was reportedly stabbed to death by a 32-year-old technician whose identity has been withheld by the police.

Oyeyemi explained that the suspect was arrested following a distress call received by the police.

The Ogun police spokesperson added that Oladipupo was at the hotel to celebrate Christmas with the owner when he was stabbed to death.

He explained that the victim was rushed to the hospital where a doctor confirmed him dead.

He added that upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to killing the deceased and claimed it was the devil’s handiwork.

According to him, the suspect claimed to have gone to the hotel to find out who beat and injured one of his boys but on getting there, he said the deceased accosted him and a fight ensued.

"He then brought out his knife and stabbed Oladipupo many times.

"The Commissioner of Police in the state, Lanre Bankole, has directed the transfer of the suspect to the Homicide Section of the state’s Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for interrogation and possible prosecution," he concluded.
