Clerk Suspended Over DFS's Invitation To Give Account Of Income, Expenditure

The Clerk of Awe Legislative Arm, Haliru Ahmad Jibrin, has been suspended by the Council Chairman, Usman Umar, for 'hobnobbing with enemies.'

This is in respect of a letter inviting the area's Director of Finance and Supply (DFS), Aminu Dantani for an audience with the Speaker Abdullahi Hudu-led Legislative Arm to give an account of the income and expenditure of the present administration from October 1, 2021, to date among others.

Jibrin had on July 14th, 2022 in the letter instructed the DFS to appear before the lawmakers on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at the Legislative Chamber.

The suspended Clerk however denied any ill motive, insisting that he only acted on the instruction of the Speaker and Members of the area's Legislative Arm to invite the DFS for an audience.
