The coalition of Civil Society Forum in Kano State (CSOs) has written to President Muhammadu Buhari asking him to live up to expectations and end the insecurity in Nigeria, especially in the Northern region.
Speaking to our correspondent in Kano, Chairman of the coalition, Ibrahim A Waiya said it is baffling that the President, given his capacity as a military man should not have let the insecurity grow to this level.
He said there was a time that the President led protests to cry out over insecurity and inflation, but things have gotten worse in his government.
“It is very surprising that the President cannot deal with insecurity in the North, our people are being killed every day in Sokoto, Katsina, Zamfara, and Borno States on a daily basis,” he said.
Waiya said the President needs to remember what he used to preach and stand up to insecurity with a view to ending it.
