The newly elected Vice President of the Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU), Dr Churchill Okonkwo, has assured good working relationships between the management of colleges in the South East and the union at the state Chapter.
Okonkwo at a press conference on Monday in Awka said his promise is in line with his devotion to the educational improvement of colleges of Education in the country.
The Vice President further vowed to honour the integrity of the association, expressing that he would fulfil his obligation to the union meritoriously.
Okonkwo was elected the vice president at a special delegates’ congress of the COEASU held on November 9, at the Federal College of Education, Abeokuta.
The new VP was unopposed by delegates of more than 35 Colleges of Education across the country who voted during the congress.
Okonkwo, before his election, served as the Chairman of COEASU, Federal College of Education Technical, Umunze Chapter, Orumba South Local Government Area, Anambra, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
