The Gubernatorial Candidate of Accord Party in Osun State, Akin Ogunbiyi has urged well meaning individuals to come over to his party to help rescue the state from total collapse.
Ogunbiyi in a statement issued by his media campaign team on Sunday explained that his tours of some of the council areas in the state has given him first hand information about how the state has lagged behind in infrastructural development and social amenities.
Already, Ogunbiyi has visited about 10 local governments including towns and villages, traditional rulers and baales and other stakeholders including farmers, artisans and traders.
Some of the local governments visited by the Accord Party flagbearer and his deputy, Kunle Jimoh were Egbedore, Orolu, Irepodun, Ifedayo, Ila, Ife-North, Ife-Central, Ife-South, Ife-East and Modakeke-Area Office.
Commenting on his experience, Ogunbiyi who noted that his party is poised to win the gubernatorial election coming up on July 16, 2022, admonished other concerned individuals to join him in lifting the state out of poverty.
"Accord party's office is open to all genuine individuals.
"Many are coming on board already. We have people from Labour Party and Action Alliance who had joined us and we are working with eight other political parties to rescue Osun State.
"Those who want to serve our people are already here.
"We don't share money in our party but we put our heads together planning and strategising on how to help and save Osun State," he stated.
He reinstated that as a giant in the corporate world he was contesting the gubernatorial election because of his love for the people and his desire to distribute equally the state resources to the entire citizenry.
Ogunbiyi explained that he has understanding of what to do to change the state fortune from being a civil service state to an industrialize state, while nothing that the state with 26 viable resources should not be a poor state.
