The Borno State Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Yarima Lawan Kareto has stormed the construction site of the new Tashan Bama market along University of Maiduguri.
Kareto who stormed the site around 9 pm on Friday inspected the ongoing construction at the project site.
He noted that the governor Babagana Umara Zulum-led administration has achieved more in the state.
He explained that the governor has made a name in the provision of capital infrastructural projects across the state.
Kareto while inspecting the project said the governor gave the project special attention in order to support the business community in the state.
He added that the project would create a conducive environment for businesses to prosper.
He explained that the move was to help traders maximize output from their trade in order to boost the state's economic activities.
The New Tashan Bama Market consists of Administrative block, market stalls and about 800 shops among others.
The commissioner added that the project was in its completion stage.
Governor Zulum had directed the the immediate completion of the project when he visited the site on 1st January, 2023.
