Coppa Italia: Inter Defeat Milan As Ibra Sees Red

Inter Milan playmaker, Christian Eriksen's last-minute free-kick dumps local city rival AC Milan out of the Coppa Italia quarter-finals to progress into the semifinal in a 2-1 comeback win with Milan's top scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic sent off after the second booking.

The loss will be Milan's second consecutive defeat in days as they lost emphatically to Atalanta in the Serie A on Sunday.

Ibra opened the scoring on the night with a clinical finish from inside the box to bury the ball into the bottom corner, putting Milan in a pole position to progress.

A fight between Romelu Lukaku and Zlatan erupted -- as both parties involved were booked with a yellow card for the outburst.

Zlatan was sent off when he manhandled Kolarov to earn him his second yellow card.

Later in the game, VAR reviewed Leao's foul on Barella and the referee pointed to the spot for a penalty.

Lukaku stepped up to take it and blasted the ball into the roof of the net to restore parity to Antonio Conte's side.
