After being quarantined for days in an isolation centre at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, the Chairman of the hospital, Shettima Bagudu, has tested negative.
Mr Shettima had taken ill at the last board meeting of the health facility on the 24th of March, 2020, and was immediately put on admission for treatment, where it was confirmed that he had tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
He took another test on the 8th of April to confirm his status, to which he tested positive again and was kept in the isolation centre.
The hospital's Public Relations Officer, Mr. Your Akinrinlola, disclosed in a statement on Sunday that Mr. Shettima had tested negative for the virus after he took a second test to confirm.

In the statement, he said, “I have the pleasure to announce that after three weeks of being in quarantine, the Chairman of the Board of Management of the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Alhaji Shettima Bagudu, has tested negative to the coronavirus.
“Two tests were carried out on him and both returned negative. With this, he now has a clean bill of health.”
