Coronavirus: Denmark Records Its First Death

On Saturday, the first death from coronavirus was recorded in Denmark, and in a bid to stop the further spread of the virus, the country's government has moved to close its borders.

According to officials at the hospital where the deceased was treated, the patient “was a person aged 81 years who was hospitalized for other serious illnesses.”

This is the fifth case of the virus in the Nordic region, Sweden and Norway already recorded their deaths.

Denmark also joins the list of countries that have shut their borders to all non-residents in an effort to prevent the spread of the virus.
