Coronavirus: 'Football Does Not Matter Right Now' - Özil

 

As the world grapple with the threat posed by the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Arsenal midfielder, Mesut Özil has pointed out that "the health and wellbeing of everyone is far more important than everything else".

Allnews reports that German, therefore, advised everyone to "take all the precautions you can".

The 31-year-old also urged people to show appreciation to medical personnel who are "helping to keep this virus from spreading".

 

 

 

 

The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak a pandemic.

More than 4,900 people have died and over 132,000 have been infected globally, according to the WHO.

About 68,000 victims have recovered, according to Johns Hopkins University, which is tracking the virus.
