Some Nigerians are not impressed by the distribution method adopted by the Lagos State Government's Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) Emergency Food Response.
Allnews recalls that the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanowo-Olu had last Friday announced an economic stimulus package to help residents cushion the effects of the 'Stay At Home' directive to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Sanwo-olu had divulged that the stimulus, which comes in food packs, is to be distributed to every local government in the state.
The state's number one citizen stated that the package will touch at least 200,000 thousand households in the first phase, noting that the food packs are produced for a size of six people per household and would last for at least fourteen days.
On Wednesday, the official twitter account of the Lagos State Government put up an update showing the remaining Local Governments (LGs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) for the Emergency Food Response.

However, most citizens, citing recent distribution strategy accused the government of not following the rules, which is strict adherence to social distancing.

Make sure you share it house to house, go and ask NEPA how they distribute bills.

Lagos state just simple thinking faculty. You are preaching social distancing but yet gather crowds together because you want to share a cup of rice them. The whites know our foolishness before they said that we'll have 39k people infected with this virus

The best thing is to give the items to nepa to help distribute it. They know how to get it across houses. Instead of making people gather when u advice of social distancing

I want to commend Lagos state govt for the kind gesture, however in delivering these items, let not forget to implement the social distance.

Can this food be dropped door to door , there r hundreds of Okada seized by LASGTASKFORCE those Okada can b used to get to d slump where d vulnerable are.rather than ppl converging to receive technically contradicting social distancing ideology .
