High school students in Hong Kong's public high schools have resumed school activities on Wednesday, as part of the semi-autonomous country's phased reopening.
Hong Kong, is among the first countries to have the coronavirus outbreak under control, though it was one of the first countries to record coronavirus cases after it began in China.
Schools in the country had been closed since January, after the government of the country ordered a lockdown, with hundreds of schools now reopening their classes for students.
In the coming weeks, younger students will join the older ones in the classroom, while international students who pay tuition have begun classes.

Hong Kong's coronavirus cases, although close to the source of the outbreak, only peaked at just a little over a thousand cases and four fatalities.
To curb the pandemic from spreading the government of Hong Kong ordered a lockdown in March that saw the closure of businesses, although, in recent weeks, businesses have started to reopen.
The transmission of the virus via local carriers has ebbed, and cases recorded are of returnees who are tested and then put in isolation if needed.
Some of the returning students could be seen holding banners in solidarity with pro-democracy supporters, this is according to the South China Morning Post, as the resumption of classes falls on the same day as the debate in the legislature over the newly introduced law banning residents from insulting the Chinese national anthem.
