The West African country of Ivory Coast has announced its first death on Sunday, as disclosed by the Minister of Health in the country, Eugene Aka.
Eugene gave no further details on the deceased, but added that the was only caught "post-mortem."
Ivory Coasts has a record of 165 coronavirus cases, after 25 fresh cases were recorded.
The country's president, Alassane Ouattara, last week Monday, announced a state of emergency in the country in a bid to curb the spread of the virus in the country.

The government of Ivory Coast imposed a curfew that lasts between 9 pm and 5 am, promptly closing the boders of the country.
Movements in and out of Abidjan, the country's economic backbone, have been restricted, including schools, restaurants, and bars.
