Coronavirus: Kia Initiates Measures Against Spread Of COVID-

Kia Motors has followed the recommended measures from the World Health Organization (WHO) to ensure the protection of its customers and staff against the coronavirus pandemic.

The firm stated that following the WHO and the National Centre for Disease Contro (NCDC) directives, personal hygiene has been employed in all its locations with designated hand-washing places, deployment of the infrared thermometer for temperature checks at the points of entry into the facilities, hand sanitizers, nose masks,  social distancing, among others.

The company added that it has restructured its workforce into the dynamic operational base, adding that some workers are advised to work remotely starting from March 23 until further notice, “except those in business-critical roles that cannot be done away from Kia facilities.”

The Chief Operation Officer, Sanjay Tatpati, said; “we join the WHO and the NCDC to strongly advise anyone who feels like they are showing symptoms of COVID-19  which can be as mild as those of a cold, or more serious such as the fever or flu, are advised to seek medical attention and self-isolate while they take care of themselves.”.

Commenting on the development, the Marketing Manager of Kia Motors, Olawale Jimoh, stated that “a responsive customer care outfit is equipped to attend to the sales and service requirements of customers via phone, email, web live chat, WhatsApp and social media platforms to provide real-time answers to any questions the customers may have about a vehicle, repair, and servicing, financing or the online booking tool.”

Jimoh advised that the firm's digital platforms would be very handy in this period and everyone should employ the use of its online booking tool.
