Coronavirus: No In-Flight Meals For Passengers - Aero Contractors

Coronavirus: No In-Flight Meals For Passengers - Aero Contra

Once flight operations resume, the management of Aero Contractors wants passengers to know that in-flight meals will not be served.

This was disclosed by the airline's Managing Director,  Capt. Ado Sanusi, who announced this on Channels Television on Thursday.

Sanusi said that the reason for this development by the airline is due to the pandemic, as serving meals during flights would mean that passengers would have to take their masks off to eat, and this would be against the guidelines of health authorities.

He also said that the company was taking into consideration the safety of the flight attendants, as they would need to come into contact with passengers every time they serve.

He said, “There won’t be serving of food because that will increase the number of times you will be contacting passengers and then the passengers would be removing their face masks to eat the food so I think it is not the best.

“It is a one hour flight. It is only in Nigeria that we serve food for a one-hour flight. Go anywhere in the world and you will see that hot meals are not served on one-hour flights.”
