The Ondo State Government has ordered the closure of all its boundaries, as part of its measure, as with most other states in the country, to curtail the spread of the coronavirus.
The closure will take effect from Thursday, at 6 pm.
The government of the state cites the rise in the number of confirmed cases in the country as a motive to order the closure of its borders.
Ondo State Commissioner for Information, Donald Ojogo, said, in a statement, that the move by the state was made after it observed that there is a high possibility of the diseases spreading into the state.

With the closure of the borders, no vehicle is allowed into the state from any state that it shares a border with, like Ekiti, Edo, Ogun, Kogi, and Osun states.
The commissioner also added that security operatives have been deployed to the streets to ensure that residents comply with the directives.
