In preparation of the reopening of airports in the country for the resumption of commercial flights, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), has said that passengers would be required to arrive at the airport three hours before their time of departure.
This was disclosed on Monday by FAAN, as part of the measures to check the spread of coronavirus in the country.
The authority said via its official Twitter handle @FAAN_Official, “COVID-19 Flight Resumption Protocol for Passengers: You are advised to arrive at the airport three hours before your flight due to the new COVID-19 safety checks."

It also urged passengers to keep a two-metre distance from each other, and that anyone found without a face mask will not be allowed into the airport's premises.
The resumption of flights is yet to be confirmed by the FAAN, as the National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Sani Aliyu, had said that they would, during a briefing in Abuja.
“The aviation industry is requested to start developing protocols to allow for domestic flights to resume anytime from the 21st of June onwards,”Sani said that
